The Animal Lovers Club of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) organized an activity called “Bag to the Bone” in collaboration with Art Club on September 27-29, 2023 at the Ground Floor, Aditayathorn Building.
A total of 56 participants were given tote bags, bucket hats, and drawstring bags on which they painted animal-themed designs.
The profits raised in this activity—around 7,000 Baht—were split between Art Club and Animal Lovers Club, with the latter donating its share to two dog shelters, namely, The Man That Rescues Dogs Foundation and Salaya Mahidol Dog Shelter. The remainder of the funds that the Animal Lovers Club had raised was used to buy dog food, and medical and cleaning supplies.
This activity allowed people to help stray dogs in shelters while at the same time providing a fun activity where participants got to embrace their creativity through art. Everyone that participated made beautiful works of art that they got to keep or donate to the club as well as contribute to a good cause for the street dogs and shelter dogs, keeping them safe from hunger and pain.
