Board Game Fair Attracts Gaming Aficionados

Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Board Game Club hosted the Board Game Fair on January 22 - 23, 2025 at Mahidol University’s Central Library, transforming the venue into a hub of excitement and creativity from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm.

The event welcomed a remarkable total of 488 participants, including 482 students and 6 lecturers, all coming together to explore the growing world of tabletop games.

The two-day fair featured game showcases, live demonstrations, and hands-on play zones, offering a unique blend of fun and educational value. Highlights of the event included interactive sessions with well-known game creators and educators such as Legendary Wargame, Lan La Len (ลานละเล่น), FinDice, New Game Entertainment, Softpomz, and Board Game Academy, who also served as guest lecturers. Their involvement provided students with valuable insights into game design, storytelling, and strategic thinking.

Participants had the chance to play both classic favorites and exciting new releases while connecting with fellow enthusiasts. From high-energy social games to deep strategy experiences, the fair catered to all interests and experience levels.

The Board Game Fair not only brought joy and entertainment but also fostered learning, teamwork, and creative expression—making it a stand-out event that truly celebrated the power of play in education.

MUIC Executives Attend MU’s 57th Anniversary Ceremony

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
