Career Insights Club Visits PTT HQ

Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Career Insights Club (CIC) visited PTT Head Office, Chatuchak District, Bangkok on February 28, 2025.

The company visit was separated into two sessions. The first session began with a discussion by Ms. Tanyapath Lertrungvitayachai,ananalyst from the Business Planning and Subsidiary Management Department, on trading overview and PTT’s group strategy which is separated into five sections, competitive enhancement, growth necessity & opportunity, sustainability, transformation and lastly foundation.

Ms. Akira Vongtrakool, ananalyst from the Business Planning and Subsidiary Management Department, followed up with a talk on the vision and mission of PTT and then displayed statistical figures showing how Thailand imports crude oil and exports the refined product. She added that there are more imported oil than locally processed oil that are needed to supply the market demand.

Lastly, the last speaker of the first session was Dr. Narongchai Yaisawang, a senior analyst who provided an interactive presentation that showed crude oil marketing analysis and how prices of oil may potentially drop.

During the second session, Mr. Peerapol Phadungpoj, a manager of the Upstream Value Chain Optimization Division, gave a presentation on the topic of “Upstream Value Chain Optimization Division” and explained to the audience how carbon dioxide is removed which can then be used for soda beverages. Furthermore there is a gas supply chain that shows the supply from PTT to its end consumers.

During the Q&A, the 35 students who joined the visit had the chance to ask the four lecturers and gain more knowledge and understanding PTT’s work. Potential career opportunities in PTT were also discussed. The visit concluded as the students departed from the PTT Head Office enriched with new knowledge from PTT.

MUIC Executives Attend MU’s 57th Anniversary Ceremony

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
