Eighteen students from the International Relations and Global Affairs (IRGA) program proudly represented Mahidol University International College (MUIC) in the prestigious Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Conference, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at the Athenee Hotel, Bangkok on June 18, 2025.

The ACD, a vital platform for fostering regional cooperation among Asian nations, brought together policymakers, diplomats, scholars, and youth leaders under this year’s theme: "Empowering Youth for a Sustainable and Innovative Asia." The conference aimed to highlight the importance of youth engagement in driving sustainable development and technological innovation across the region.

IRGA officials said they are thrilled to announce that Ms. Pornpiseth Semon, one of its outstanding students, was selected to represent Mahidol University and MUIC as a keynote youth speaker. In her powerful and forward-looking speech, she emphasized the pivotal role of young people in shaping a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable Southeast Asia. Her participation was a proud moment for the entire MUIC community and a testament to the caliber of students in the IRGA program.

Behind the scenes, two more IRGA students contributed to the success of the event through their internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ms. Solatthika Roypromoma and Mr. Kantapol Mingrachata played important roles in supporting the event’s organization and logistics. Their dedication and professionalism not only helped ensure the smooth execution of the conference but also showcased their ability to apply classroom knowledge to real-world diplomacy.

The involvement of IRGA students at the ACD Conference highlighted the program’s commitment to nurturing globally minded leaders who are ready to take on challenges in international affairs and sustainable development. IRGA officials said they are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing how they continue to make a difference in the region and beyond.
