The Model United Nations Club (MUN) of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) won three awards during the World Health Organizations Simulation 2023 (WHOSIM2023) held on September 9-10, 2023 at Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn Hospital, Chulalongkorn University.
Mr. Ibrahim Dawoodjee, a 3rd Year student from Biological Science major, won the Best Delegate Award, while Mr. Jiratt Pluemthanom and Mr. Danuch Karnjanayothin each received an Honorable Mention Award. Both of them are 3rd Year students from International Relations and Global Affairs major.
MUIC MUN Club sent five committee members in total to attend WHOSIM2023 under the theme of “The Impact of War on Health.” Under a simulated World Health Assembly, Mr. Ibrahim Dawoodjee, Mr. Jiratt Pluemthanom, and Mr. Danuch Karnjanayothin acted as delegates of Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and South Korea, respectively. In addition, Ms. Sopitnapa Sakkakit and Ms. Pimnipa Praphanwong were assigned as observers from Medecins Sans Frontieres and United States Agency for International Development, respectively.
