Sigma Club’s “Self-love, Self-reflection”

Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Sigma Club launched a two-week online activity named “Self-love, Self-reflection” that engaged the participants’ critical thinking skills in doing self-reflection.

From October 3 to 26, 2022, around 90 students were asked to post photos or videos based on different topics every week, namely, travel and hobby, on Instagram Story using their personal accounts along with a 50-word description while tagging their friends and Sigma Club’s Instagam account. For the theme of “travel,” the participants had to post either a photo or video related to the theme along with the name and a brief description of the place, who you traveled with, why it was memorable and others. For the theme “hobby,” the participants posted a relevant photo or video along with a brief description of their hobby, how they started it, what skills did they develop in order to pursue that hobby and others.

At the end of the activity, several winning entries were picked. They were Yonlada Trakooljitvisut (“Most Creative”),Chawin Butdisuwan (“Most Self-reflective”),Nanthakorn Prathumma (“Most Creative”),andMarwin Pongprayoon (“Most Self-reflective”)Each of them received a cash prize of 500 Baht.

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
