Mahidol University International College’s (MUIC) Dance Club hosted recently a major event: “The Eternal of Elements” which was a dance showcase, at Room A556, Aditayathorn Building on March 20, 2025.

The Dance Club’s officers considered this event to be their biggest event yet. The event’s theme was based on the four elements: Fire, Land, Air, and Water, with each element representing a different dance style. Fire was represented by girls style and street jazz. Land was represented through hip hop, Air was embodied by contemporary dance, Water was represented through house, R&B and other dance types. For each element, the club invited skillful dancers from outside to create original choreography for each element, making the event and its featured dance numbers truly original and exclusive.

Each element’s dancers had around 1-2 months of practice time, which allowed them to perfect each of their shows and create familiarity with the moves and the music. Each element practiced once a week, whether it was in rooms 2302 or 3407 of MUIC Building 1. As the performance date neared, the dancers came together to rehearse for the mega crew performance which united everyone. They used the Ground Floor space at MUIC Building 1 to practice together as the number required a spacious dance floor and provided the choreographers to easily view the entire performance and fix anything that was needed.

The Dance Club also asked help from other students to help with the graphics and registration as well, to ensure the completeness of the show. On the day of the show, the Dance Club also had the lighting team complement the lighting with each specific performance as well, further amplifying the experience of the show overall. The venue was decorated with leaves and paper that introduced the aesthetic to the audience.

As a result, the whole hall was sold out, every seat was filled up and the show was completed with Dance Club members brimming with happiness and a great feeling of accomplishment.
