Huawei Thailand Explores Career and Internship Opportunities with MUIC Students

Representatives from Huawei Thailand visited Mahidol University International College (MUIC) on February 23, 2026 to discuss internship recruitment and fast-track career pathways for students. The meeting took place at Room 1604 MUIC Building 1 and brought together industry leaders and MUIC faculty members to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.

Representing Huawei Thailand were Ms. Tarissara Thanajiradolsuk, Deputy HR Director, Thailand Human Resource Department; and Mr. Phanu Jarumit, HR Campus Recruitment Specialist. They met with Asst. Prof. Dr. Konglit Hunchangsith, Program Director of Computer Engineering, and Dr. Kritya Bunchongchit, Program Director of Computer Science, under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean.

The discussion focused on developing structured recruitment channels that would allow MUIC students to transition smoothly into the workforce through Huawei’s Fast-Track Recruitment Programs.

Two main pathways were introduced:

  • Honors to Full-Time Employment Track – High-performing students graduating with honors may be 

  • Honors to Full-Time Employment Track – High-performing students graduating with honors may be considered for direct transition into full-time positions; and

  • Internship / Outsource Contract Track – Students with a GPA of 3.00 or above are eligible to apply for internship or outsource contract opportunities.

  • All positions are fully on-site, with selected candidates given the opportunity to visit Huawei’s Bangkok Headquarters at G Tower on Rama 9 Road, Bangkok, as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.

The programs are open to:

  • Thai nationals, or foreign nationals holding a valid Thai work permit; and

  • Burmese students, who may also apply for positions at Huawei’s office in Myanmar.

In addition to engineering roles, some students from the Creative Technology (CT) program may be considered for opportunities in Marketing or Human Resources, reflecting Huawei’s interest in multidisciplinary talent.

Huawei representatives emphasized the growing demand for strong technical competencies, particularly in:

  • Research and Development (R&D), especially software-oriented roles

  • Hardware Engineering

The visit highlighted MUIC’s ongoing commitment to connecting students with leading global technology companies and preparing graduates with industry-relevant skills and career opportunities.

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
