MU Orientation Benefits from MUIC Students’ Creativity

More than 50 students from the Communication Design (CDP), Creative Technology (CT), and Media and Communication (MC) programs of Mahidol University International College (MUIC) worked together with the Mahidol University Student Affairs in creating the logo, key graphics, animation characters, and all motion clips for the opening sequences of the Mahidol University (MU) Orientation 2024 event.

The students were under the guidance of Dr. Dynaya Bhutipunthu, Ajarn Yuttana Santivong, and Ajarn Sarrath Virasakdi from CDP acting as advisors.

The event took place at the Prince Mahidol Hall on August 1, 2024. There were three rounds of the orientation event and three parts of the assigned tasks for the team covering:

1. The opening sequences and the introduction clips for the event and the introduction to the MU President and executives;

2. The user interface (UI) design for the warm-up interactive activity;

3. The motion clip series for the concert part, which included MU Choir and the Music Band (The Exotic) performances; and

4. The design of the AR (Augmented Reality) clips of animated characters embedded in QR code for reviewing during the day of the event and after.

Approximately 2,000 students participated per round in this event, totaling 6,000 students.

MUIC Executives Attend MU’s 57th Anniversary Ceremony

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
