MUIC Awards Global Talent Scholarships to International Students

Mahidol University International College (MUIC) recently awarded the Global Talent Scholarship to nine exceptional international students for Trimester 3 of Academic Year 2024-2025. Each scholarship is valued at 50,000 Baht, amounting to a total of 450,000 Baht granted in this round.

The Global Talent Scholarship is designed to support high-achieving students from across Asia (excluding Thailand) who demonstrate strong academic potential and a commitment to excellence.

The nine awardees are:

Ms. Yuheng LI – Major in Computer Science

Ms. Minerva Chuni Ongmu KARKI – Major in International Relations and Global Affairs

Ms. Hnin Su YADI – Major in International Business

Ms. Shin Thant Htet WAI – Major in Communication Design

Mr. Lavish UPADHYAY – Major in Computer Engineering

Ms. Yoon Thiri HLAING – Major in Computer Science

Mr. Xingbai CHEN – Major in International Business

Ms. Nasla PRADHAN – Major in International Relations and Global Affairs

Ms. Jiayu LI – Major in Media and Communication

The recipients hail from the following countries:

  • The People’s Republic of China
  • Myanmar
  • Nepal
  • India

📌 Global Talent Scholarship Criteria

  • Students who completed high school from Asian countries (except in Thailand)
  • Students must apply during the application period ( Overseas Track or Regular Track)
  • Students will be called for scholarship interviews after getting accepted as college students

MUIC Executives Attend MU’s 57th Anniversary Ceremony

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
