MUIC Case Club, the “Home of Leading Minds,” opened its doors to 80 potential new members during its once-a-year recruitment drive dubbed “Discovery Day” held on June 17, 2023 at Aditayathorn Building.
“Discovery Day” played a vital role in the selection process, serving as a comprehensive evaluation and engagement platform. The event aimed to identify individuals who possessed the required skills and qualities needed to contribute to the club's ongoing success.
The event started with icebreaking activities allowing the applicants to better know each other and networking with talented individuals across various majors. These engaging activities also provided an opportunity to see the potential of each applicant, evaluating how well they could integrate into the club's dynamic environment and vibrant atmosphere.
Afterwards, the applicants were organized into groups for the Group Case Interview. This part of the activity aimed to assess the applicants' critical thinking abilities and innovative skills by presenting them with a challenging case study to solve along with teamwork skills within the focus group interview.
“Discovery Day” served as an invaluable opportunity for both the applicants and the club. It provided the applicants with a platform to showcase their abilities, while allowing the current club members to observe the unique talents and potential contributions each applicant could bring to the club. The event unlocked potential in all applicants, exposing them to real-world problems and inspiring both parties in further contributing to the future of MUIC.
