MUIC Team Semi-Finalists in HSBC/HKU Business Case Competition 2023

A team from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) has successfully reached the semi-finals of the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition 2023. The competition, hosted online by Hong Kong University from May 24 to June 1, 2023, attracted participants from renowned institutions worldwide.

Known as "Excelsior Consulting," the MUIC team previously emerged as the National Winner of the HSBC Thailand Business Case Competition 2023, earning them the opportunity to compete at an international level. Representing both MUIC and Thailand, the team demonstrated their expertise in analyzing business cases, presenting solutions on hand-drawn paper, and delivering persuasive pitches to esteemed judges from HSBC and prominent companies. This year's competition focused on solving real-world business challenges presented by Micro Connect and 88rising.

The team consisted of the following business students:

1. Ms. Narinya Yingcharoenthana (Major in International Business, minor in Tourism and Hospitality Management)
2. Ms. Yanisa Sirisomboonchok (Major in Finance, minor in Business Economics)
3. Ms. Aileen Liu (Major in Finance, minor in Marketing)
4. Mr. Peerawat Mongkolnimit (Major in International Business, minor in Marketing)

Over the course of two weeks, the online event brought together 24 teams representing top universities from around the world. During the first week, participants engaged in networking events and team-building sessions, fostering teamwork skills and cross-cultural communication among the talented individuals.

MUIC Executives Attend MU’s 57th Anniversary Ceremony

The Mahidol University International College (MUIC) executive team led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yingyot Chiaravutthi, Associate Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phonthanukitithaworn, Associate Dean for Corporate Communication and Information Technology; and AjarnWimonsiri Hemtanon, Associate Dean for Student Affairs; accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council of Mahidol University, and a faculty member of the Social Science Division of MUIC, along with staff members, laid a royal Pan-Pum (a traditional floral arrangement) in front of the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla as part of paying obeisance to him and also in observance of the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Bestowal of the University Name and the commemoration of Mahidol University’s 138th Anniversary, on March 2, 2026 at the Office of the President.
