Let’s find the answer together!

  •  What is VR (Virtual Reality)

Virtual Reality is a three-dimensional simulation generated by computer technology. The experiences when using VR are designed to maximize the immersive feeling with the aid of outside tools such as special VR glasses, VR cardboard, etc.

Many of you might be familiar with VR as a narrative tool for the gaming community, but the practicality of VR technology extends to other fields as well . Currently, VR technology is also being used in google street view simulation, flight training simulations, a 360-degree showcase of a decorated room, etc.

  •  And what about AR (Augmented Reality)?

To make this explanation easier to understand, please imagine when you have to turn on your camera feature for the Pokemon Go game where you can catch various pokemons "in the real world". AR technology refers to how real-world objects can be corporated into augmented reality using devices such as mobile phones or tablets as a medium to view them.

And of course, apart from games, AR can also be used as a medium for three-dimension education, a presentation tool for product launch events, or as a showcase tool for numerous exhibitions.

And for those interested in more in-depth information about VR/AR, MUIC has many related majors where you can further explore your education .
