Graduation Requirements

Complete one’s full-time studies according to curricula structures. Complete all required courses and obtain a grading record that satisfies the requirements of the program. Fulfill the program requirements with a GPA of at least 3.00. Meet the non-native language proficiency requirements announced by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.

Participate in skill development activities of the Graduate Studies Mahidol University Pass a thesis/thematic paper examination with the result Passed (if Passed with Conditions, the student must revise the thesis/thematic paper until the result shows Passed). Submit the complete thesis/thematic paper together with abstract and diskette or CD (PDF File) to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Students in plan B must pass a Comprehensive Examination before the Thematic Paper Examination.

Submit a document that shows that the thesis or a part of the thesis is (1) published or (2) accepted for publication in a journal or other academic printed matter which has a peer review or (3) is presented at an academic conference which has a peer review and proceedings.

Students who have chosen Study Plan B are required to take a comprehensive examination in order to defend their thematic papers and complete their degrees.

The Comprehensive Examination, which is administered twice a year, covers material from the required courses on a Master’s degree level.

Note: Students must pass the Comprehensive Examination before their Thematic Paper Final Defense Examination.

Qualifications

Students can sit for the Comprehensive Examination only after having completed all the required course work, with a minimum grad B and a Grade point average of at least 3.00.

If Student fails only one part of the examination, he/she may retake the failed part in the next scheduled examination.

Students are required to complete the application form and pay a fee of 2,000 Baht for every examination they take.
