MUIC Global 2025 welcomes students from all over the world who are interested in global trends, and the theme this year is Global Health. The certificate of achievement is awarded at the end of the program. The MUIC Global Trend is divided into 2 courses:

Session 2

  • The 3rd International Designing Health Innovation Challenge

Duration: July 17- August 1, 2025

Tackle the challenges of occupational health and well-being of Thai railway workers and their communities over 14 days, with a focus on practical approaches to community health. Participants will engage in a comprehensive learning experience, including designing Health Innovation Challenges and participating in an Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Sciences workshop. These hands-on sessions promote creative problem-solving and innovative thinking to address occupational health issues effectively

Session 1

  • Global Health Summer School

Duration: July 1- 17, 2025

The Global Health Summer School offers health science students an introduction to the challenges of communicable and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in developing countries. Participants will engage in hands-on diagnostic laboratory work focusing on malaria and other parasitic diseases prevalent in the Southeast Asia region. Additionally, students will visit NCD clinics to understand how these diseases are managed within the Thai healthcare system.

The program also includes participation in field experiences such as community visits and a trip to the Thai Red Cross serpentarium, where snake antivenoms are produced.

The fee covers:

  • Classes, materials and related visits
  • Airport pick-up and send-off to/from MUIC

Additional Expenses

  • Meals: 3.5 – 10 USD per day for 3 meals on campus and nearby
  • Sim card: 5 USD
  • Laundry: starts from 1.5 – 3.0 USD for washing machine and dryer per time
  • Transportation from campus to Bangkok: starts from 1.5 USD for public bus with air-conditioner

Eligible Applicants

  • Undergraduate students who have completed at least one semester at college or university
  • Undergraduate students from any majors
  • It is recommended to apply in groups of 3-4 students.

  • IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent from a non-English speaking country (In case students do not have English scores, please send a recommendation letter from your English language professor or your advisor for further consideration.)
  • Home university unofficial transcript
  • Passport-style photo (Sample photo: PDF)

  2. Wait for the confirmation email and invoice.
    • 2.1 Make a payment and send the payment evidence to icshorttterm@mahidol.ac.th
    • 2.2 A letter of acceptance and a letter of visa application will be issued.
    • 2.3 Apply for a visa and arrange your air ticket.
